Christine Yared has worked for thirty-five years as an attorney specializing in civil rights and LGBTQ law. She began her practice at a time when most attorneys were not interested in, or comfortable serving the legal needs of LGBTQ people, and there were no laws protecting their rights. Christine has taught legal and diversity-related courses, and worked as a speaker, writer and activist for LGBTQ rights. Private Love, Public School is her first book. She resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
